COLORADO BLOCK

The Colorado Block is the ultimate starting block solution. It's a combination of KDI Paragon's Track Start Competitor starting block, Colorado Time Systems' relay judging platform (RJP), speedlights LED supplemental start signal, onboard connection hub, horn, Quick Connect deck plate and sponsor panels.

It provides accuracy in competition. CTS's RJP is the most accurate way to judge a swimmer's departure for relay exchanges and race starts. Facilities with the Colorado Block can rely on its 1/100th of a second accuracy, as well as its ability to decipher between weight shifts and when a swimmer actually leaves the platform.

It offers a training advantage. Teams who train with the Colorado Block and a CTS QuickStart or CTS timing system can fine-tune their start reaction times and relay exchanges with quantifiable results, giving them the competitive edge. The Colorado Block has a safe and durable starting surface. Both the Track Start Side Mount Competitor block and the RJP module feature non-skid surfaces for excellent traction upon departure from the block. All electrical components, including deck plates, horns, lights and relay judging platform, are removable for dry, safe storage during non-practice/non-meet times.

COLORADO SOLUTION
The Colorado Solution includes the Relay Judging Platform (RJP) with LED speedlights, the QuickConnect Deck Plate and 6-watt speaker. The 24" x 32" top with sand finish surface supports the track type start now used by many competitive swimmers. Rear mount is anchored by slipping into close fitting sleeves set in the deck. The 24”x 32” top allows for track style starts. They may be installed and removed without the use of any tools. The dual leg construction makes the competitor the most stable of all Paragon platforms.

VARSITY STANDARD QUICKSET PLATFORM

Varsity platforms range in height up to 18" above the water surface. These blocks are favored by coaches who prefer a shorter style platform. Please refer to your governing body concerning minimum pool depth required before choosing a starting platform. With all Varsity platforms, you have a choice of two anchoring systems.
A) PARAFLYTE ANCHOR: Allows for installation and removal of the platform from the anchor socket with the use of tools only.
B) QUICKSET ANCHOR: Allows for removal and installation of the platform from the anchor socket without the use of tools, to permit safe storage and helps prevent unauthorized use of the platforms.

The Legacy Starting Platforms are constructed of 2.5" square, .120" thick electroplated, high strength, stainless steel square tubing, a large (24" x 30") fiberglass slip resistant top surface and a fiberglass slip-resistant step. A patent pending anchor helps prevent "rocking". Many pools have minimum depths that do not accommodate teaching of young children. Our portable teaching dock is easily removable from your pool when not being used and is constructed of stainless steel with a durable fiberglass deck.

PARAGON REPLACEMENT STARTING PLATFORM TOPS AND STEPS

We offer 3 types of Paragon replacement starting platform tops and mounting steps. Our polypropylene tops have both horizontal and vertical grooves for outstanding traction and drainage. We also offer the wood core top and mounting strip with non skid finish. These products were standard on Paragon platforms prior to 1994. The dimensions for both tops are 24" wide x 20" deep. The mounting steps measure 8"x12".

In 2004 Paragon reinvented their platform tops. Molded out of 1 1/4” thick UV inhibited polypropylene with cross groove features plus the new sand finish, it incorporates the long-lasting properties of polypropylene with a dual, non-skid surface design to provide added stability for fast and secure takeoffs.

*Note: Standard top and step kits are to be used with the following Paragon platforms: Standard, Long Reach, Shortee and Florida.

Send us your top and steps and take advantage of our refinishing program. You’ll get the most recent groove patterns as well as the sand finish surface. Pricing includes new hardware and matching top number plate. (Step is extra.) Adding color is also an option for refinished platforms for an additional cost.

LOW PROFILE 30” DELUXE STARTING PLATFORM

This starting platform is intended to comply with current FINA, USS Swimming, NCAA and NFHS requirements. Its extended height can reach the maximum allowable by these governing bodies and can result in a faster facility. The "Uni-mount" anchoring system allows for removal and installation of the platform from the anchor socket to permit safe storage and to prevent unauthorized use of the platforms. The 22.5x22.5-inch platform is of laminated fir covered and reinforced by fiberglass to which a non-slip sand coating is applied for sure-footing. The frame is of stainless steel.

STARTING PLATFORM SAFETY COVERS

Starting platforms are not designed for recreational purposes and should be used by swimmers who have been thoroughly trained in their use. Our covers are constructed of strong, lightweight plastic and drop right over the platform. They feature a four sided pyramid in the center, with warning signs saying “NO DIVING” and “KEEP OFF.” We’ve also made it next to impossible to stand on these covers. They are furnished with a heavy duty elastic cord as a tie down. Our covers will stack, so they will store easily in a small amount of space.
